We are nationally certified and accredited by the National Board of Emergency Care Certifications. The NBECC, which took over the operations of the ACLS Certification Board in 2008, is headquartered in Washington, D.C.
The NBECC offers accreditation only to programs that are based on the most current published clinical recommendations and peer-reviewed medical and scientific literature. Additionally, the NBECC requires that all ACLS and PALS certification programs it accredits maintain a strict adherence to the recommendations specified by the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR).
