Like it or not, your ACLS and/or PALS certifications must be renewed every two years. It is important that you stay on top of current guidelines so that you are best equipped to do your job well. 

There is a lot of information available out there, so how can you be certain that you are getting the information you need to successfully pass the exam without wasting a lot of your precious time? There are a number of ways you can do this. Among them:

• Register with AMRI and take our recertification program with a focus on the area in which you work, pre-hospital ACLS, hospital ACLS or non-hospital ACLS. Once registered, you can take advantage of AMRI’s online case-studies. These case studies are designed to be relevant to your career track and each is followed by questions to test how you would react in the given situation. • You can take advantage of AMRI’s practice questions such as the one found here. We offer a variety of practice questions and provide in-depth explanations about why the correct answer is the best choice. Those who are registered with our program will have hundreds of practice questions available to them. These questions can serve to both refresh your memory and alert you to topics about which you need more study.
• If it has been a while since you last certified and you need a full-refresher, you may be interested in purchasing one of the books available through AMRI such as our Handbook of Emergency Cardiovascular Care (printed 2015) or our Guidelines for CPR/ECC (Printed 2015). • If you have a Facebook account, you can join our community of medical professionals at AMRI’s official page.  Here we interact with our clients in a social environment and provide sample practice questions each week as well as our Featured Question of the Month.  On our Facebook page, you can meet and network with other medical professionals and discuss a variety of perspectives and job-related information.
